Members of the public are welcome at the wreath laying ceremony which takes place at the War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday. An attempt was recently made to protect the telephone kiosk by listing it (like the callbox at Playhatch). This was unsuccessful as the listing criteria require the presence of an adjacent listed building or location in an AONB or Conservation Area.
